Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Zenith Project is a community-run, non-profit gaming community. We are not a registered company. The Site, forums, ticket portal, stats portal, Discord, and game servers are operated by volunteers in their spare time and funded entirely by community donations made through our Tebex storefront. No staff member is paid; donations go toward server hosting, software licenses, and similar operating costs.

We operate this website, community forums, Discord server, game servers (including but not limited to SCP: Roleplay, Star Wars Roleplay, Arma 3, and Fallout-themed servers), a Tebex storefront, and associated social media channels. 2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run our community and serve information back to you. The categories below are limited and largely tied to your in-game activity and account identifiers — we do not collect or maintain large profiles of personal information.

2.1 In-Game & Account Identifiers

• Game / platform identifiers — Steam ID, Discord ID, and similar IDs used to associate your activity with your account across our game servers, forums, and Discord.
• In-game statistics — gameplay data such as time played, characters, in-game progression, and similar stats generated while you play on our servers. These power features like stats.zenithproject.gg.
• Community content — forum posts, ticket submissions on ztickets.zenithproject.gg, applications, appeals, reports, and other content you submit to us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Server logs — when you connect to a Zenith Project game server we log your in-game identifier, IP address (used for ban enforcement and abuse prevention), connection times, chat messages, and in-game actions for moderation and dispute resolution.
• Anti-cheat data — our game servers may run anti-cheat tools (either built into the game, such as BattlEye on Arma 3, or community-maintained tools on Garry's Mod servers) that automatically scan for unauthorized modifications or cheating behavior. When a tool flags activity, the resulting report (your in-game identifier, the detection, and a timestamp) is reviewed by staff for moderation purposes. We do not share anti-cheat reports outside our staff.
• Voice chat — in-game voice chat on our servers is transmitted in real time between players and is not recorded by us. Voice activity in our Discord server is handled by Discord under its own privacy policy; we do not record or store Discord voice traffic.
• Basic web logs — standard request information such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps when you visit our websites, used for security and to keep the Site running.
• Cookies — strictly necessary cookies for login sessions and security on the forums and ticket portal (see Section 6).

2.3 Purchases

Purchases of in-game perks or donations are processed entirely by our Tebex storefront and its payment partners. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or similar financial information. We receive only a transaction record showing which package was purchased and the in-game identifier it should be delivered to.

3. How We Use Your Information

All information we collect is used in-house for the operation of our player services. Specifically, we use it to:

• Operate and maintain the Site, forums, ticket portal, stats portal, and game servers;
• Store your player data and serve it back to you (e.g. your stats on stats.zenithproject.gg);
• Administer accounts and link your activity across our forums, Discord, and game servers;
• Deliver in-game perks tied to purchases made through our Tebex storefront;
• Enforce community rules and handle moderation, bans, ban evasion, anti-cheat, reports, and appeals;
• Detect and respond to abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
• Comply with legal obligations and our Terms of Service.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request), legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve our community), consent (for optional cookies and marketing communications, where required), and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).

5. How We Share Information

We do not share your data with any external parties. We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your information to outside companies, advertisers, data brokers, or marketers. Your data stays in-house and is used only by Zenith Project staff for the operation of our player services.

The only limited exceptions to this are:

• Public community content — anything you post in a public space (forum posts, public profile fields, in-game chat visible to other players) is, by its nature, visible to other users of the Site. This is content you choose to publish, not data we share on your behalf.
• Tebex purchases — Tebex independently processes payments on its own platform when you choose to buy something. That transaction happens between you and Tebex; we receive only confirmation of what to deliver in-game.
• Legal obligations — if we are compelled by a valid legal process (e.g. a court order or lawful request from authorities), we may disclose the minimum information required by law.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. Cookies fall into these categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for login, security, and site functionality. These cannot be disabled.
• Preference — remember your settings such as theme or language.
• Analytics — help us understand aggregate usage of the Site so we can improve it.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may impact your ability to use parts of the Site.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, as long as needed to provide the Services, and as long as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Server logs and moderation records may be retained for an extended period for security and ban-enforcement purposes. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymize it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including TLS in transit, hashed and salted password storage, access controls, and routine patching. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to or from the Site.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have direct control over how your information is shown and retained on the Site:

• Hide your stats — stats.zenithproject.gg includes a built-in toggle that lets you hide your data from public view at any time.
• Request data hiding or deletion — for any other data hiding or deletion request, reach out to us on our Discord and contact CrossbowZP or Daemon. We will action your request as soon as reasonably possible.
• Access & correction — you can ask the same contacts for a copy or correction of the data we hold about you.

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, California under CCPA/CPRA or the EEA/UK under GDPR), you may also have additional statutory rights. We honor those requests through the Discord contact path above. We may need to verify that the request is genuinely yours before acting, and certain records (e.g. ban records) may be retained where we have a legitimate operational or legal basis.

10. Children's Policy

Our Services are not directed at children, and minors are not permitted to use them without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet the relevant requirement or are using them with that consent.

10.1 Third-Party Service Age Requirements

A number of our community Services rely on third-party platforms or games, each of which sets its own minimum age. You are responsible for meeting these requirements where they apply to you:

• Steam — under the Steam Subscriber Agreement, users must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK) to create an account, and minors require parental or guardian consent.
• Garry's Mod — rated PEGI 16 in Europe and ESRB Mature 17+ in North America.
• Arma 3 — rated PEGI 16 in Europe and ESRB Mature 17+ in North America.
• Discord — minimum age of 13 (higher in jurisdictions where local law requires it).
• Tebex (purchases) — under Tebex's terms, you must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase through our storefront.

10.2 Community Game Nights

From time to time we run rotating community game nights featuring titles such as Rainbow Six Siege, Deadlock, Terraria, Minecraft, SCP: Secret Laboratory, and others. Each of these games is published and operated by a third party and carries its own age rating and terms of service. We do not enumerate every game's specific requirements here — it is your responsibility to research and comply with the legal age rating and terms of any game you choose to participate in.

10.3 Age Verification & Data Removal

We do not proactively verify the age of users, as many community sites do not. Regardless of age, the only information we collect is tied to in-game activity (e.g. in-game identifiers and statistics) and is not, on its own, personally identifying. If a parent or legal guardian believes their child has used the Services without consent and wants the associated data removed, please contact us on Discord via CrossbowZP or Daemon.

11. International Transfers

Zenith Project operates internationally. Information we collect may be processed, transferred, and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to third-party services such as Discord, Steam, Tebex, Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok. These links are provided for your convenience — we do not push or share your data to them. Once you click through, those services operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each service you visit.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you (for example, a notice on the Site or in our Discord). Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
